No. I was born in the Northeast of the continent, so the sea's pretty far away... that, and Sir Sazantos was the one who used to go on trips to the Isle of Orsa, not me, so I didn't ever really get to see it. If we wanted to go to the water when I was a kid, we'd just travel to the Riverlands.
[ he looks delighted, though. ] It really is salty.

Fair enough. I didn't see the ocean until I left my hometown, too. [ his lips quirk up a little at rondo being delighted at sea salt... ] But I thought you'd have seen it while traveling as a knight.

Heh, most of the missions we did were inland. The Lord of Grandport has things covered in the Coastlands - the Knights don't really have a big presence there.

Plus, we're based out of Flamesgrace, and it does nothing there but snow.

Kind of weird for a place called Flamesgrace to be covered in snow, isn't it? [ he walks forward unto the beach himself, grabbing a stray seashell and looking at it in interest ] Guessing you guys are up in the mountains?
...you know, I never really thought of it that way, but it is weird, isn't it? It's because it's where Aelfric left the First Flame, so the whole Cathedral is there. Flamesgrace, literally, Flames' grace... but, when you put it like that, it feels like we should have a volcano or something.
[ rondo takes a second, but trots after him! he looks like, mildly delighted when they hit the wet sand, and looks out at the waves. it's really so nice... ] It's up in the mountains, yes.
And...honestly, I'm from somewhere where it's always hot. The first week I was in Flamesgrace, I thought I was going to die of frostbite. It took me a long time to get used to it.

That's what caits are!! The Ringbearer Chosen is always talking about a cait scholar named Isla... She can walk and talk like a person, but she's a demihuman. She's the only one I've ever known that could talk, though, they're usually just kind of mischievous and like to steal riches and things...
