[ the door is unlocked! so she can open it, and standing there is rondo, but he looks... different. he's straightened up, shoulders rolled back, and he takes in a deep breath as he stands there, in... a new outfit.
it's blue, the trim in a rich golden color. instead of his plain brown boots, he wears a pair of shiny, silver armored greaves and armored boots, and a pair of armored bracers around his wrists, and even his sword belt, still holding fisteralda, looks upgraded - a nicer material, a fine gold clasp. and though rondo is wearing his usual cloak, there's a large golden emblem pinned to his chest above his heart.

[ his emotions are... complicated! complicated, for a moment. nervous, the sense that he's stepped into a pair of very, very large shoes, and he's still trying to figure out how to navigate it - trying to tell himself that he's worthy of the uniform that he wears. it's his - different than sazantos, a different color. and though he doesn't have the flame in his hands, it feels like maybe he could. maybe... despite everything, maybe he could.
but after a long moment, rondo cracks a smile and ducks his head, quietly grateful - turning that smile down to the floor as it widens, because he can't help it. the tangle of emotions are something like nervous, but... something like pride, too. ]

[ anxious vibes indeed!!!!! rondo's at the dojo doing his sword forms - vin could likely hear his "hah!" "hyah!" as she approached. he stops when she comes in, though, setting the tip of his sword down on the ground and casting a worried glance at the nearest reflective surface. ]

[ vin can find rondo chilling out somewhere in the graveyard bc it's just way better over here. he's got a concoction from alfyn he's sipping on, and also sheepzantos is here chewing on his cloak? it's fine. he's also just kind of. summoning the sacred flame and looking at it in his hand.

I'd imagine that's so. I can't imagine why we'd have to wait, now that the fight is over.
Maybe it's how the machine works... I don't really know. But, I don't think it's a bad thing - we ought to take the chance to recoup, while we can.
