Wait, Rondo—

it's blue, the trim in a rich golden color. instead of his plain brown boots, he wears a pair of shiny, silver armored greaves and armored boots, and a pair of armored bracers around his wrists, and even his sword belt, still holding fisteralda, looks upgraded - a nicer material, a fine gold clasp. and though rondo is wearing his usual cloak, there's a large golden emblem pinned to his chest above his heart.

he straightens up a little bit, still a little nervous, and looks at her. not as rondo the knight ardante, but as rondo the flameguard. ]

[she pauses for a long moment, surprised, but in the end—]

It suits you.

[ his emotions are... complicated! complicated, for a moment. nervous, the sense that he's stepped into a pair of very, very large shoes, and he's still trying to figure out how to navigate it - trying to tell himself that he's worthy of the uniform that he wears. it's his - different than sazantos, a different color. and though he doesn't have the flame in his hands, it feels like maybe he could. maybe... despite everything, maybe he could.

but after a long moment, rondo cracks a smile and ducks his head, quietly grateful - turning that smile down to the floor as it widens, because he can't help it. the tangle of emotions are something like nervous, but... something like pride, too. ]

[ he doesn't argue it, and that's character growth, baby. ]

[coming forward with a smile to smooth the uniform out just a little, both pride and affection in her emotions as well.]

touched. the emotion is touched, as he looks down at his feet and lets her, returning some of that same, warm feeling. a deep affection, and something fiercely, desperately hopeful. ]

... I want to. [ he wants to, so badly. and he has that chance, really, because of vin. ] I want to be someone the history of the Flameguard can be proud of.

[pushes his hair back a little.]

[ weeeeh his emotions go all wobbly in a good way. sheepish and a little flustered, but he ducks his head into it anyway, like a happy puppy. ]

... I hope so. [ he sure tries, at least. ] I woke up this morning and it was on my bed. I'm not sure why, but...

You must have earned it somehow.

...I can't think of anything I did...

[ and just to try, he like. holds out his hand? and nothing happens. no warmth, no sacred flame. ]

I got something back after I went on that trip on Thursday... Maybe it was something like that?

... Maybe, but... that was weeks ago. I haven't been on anything like that since...
