it's jarring to come back after seeing those memories, feeling those emotions, because almost everything is so far removed from his own experiences. he's the youngest child that everyone else is supposed to protect. he's still living with his parents now as an adult and has never lost anything of great importance. he has no responsibilities, no mission or meaning in his life, and no one expects anything from him. ]
