[ she would be right! it has been a very, very long week. it's been a very, very long day, actually. a discomforting conversation has left him feeling off, trying to reconcile something between making someone else happy and his own feelings, but he's been trying to shake it off. nothing here is ever easy.
well, mostly. this is easy. spending time with marina always is. he'll take the invitation - she can feel a little fluster dance across his emotions, a brief skittering spark (sharing a bed with a girl....) but he will obey, coming to lay down so they can squish together on the bed. rondo's a pretty big guy, and he practically radiates warmth, so there's something extra intimate and nice about the spacing, and he settles easily, giving her a shy smile. ]

very carefully draping it over him, slotting herself in comfortably now. she thought maybe she'd need to situate herself better, or that she'd be perhaps a little more uncertain, but rondo radiates the kind of warmth that she's come to trust to an impossible-to-reach degree. ]
Or the weather, but I don't think "cloudy with a chance of fleas" is really a thing I wanna talk about.

[ wow..... cuddles..... these are a new thing for rondo but he is finding he's enjoying it! a lot! even if it's just a little bit forbidden, just a little, it's not in a bad way - to comfort and love and to be close to someone else is not a bad thing, especially after the nightmare that has been this week.
maybe it's more obvious than he thinks, that he's tired - there's a slight flicker of surprise, and then something sheepish, like he's been caught. as marina settles in, it takes him a moment, but he carefully lifts an arm to lay over her in return, curling it gently around her shoulders, and ducks his head down when she fusses with his very fluffy bangs, peeking at her from under his brow with that same, sheepish smile. busted. ]
... mm. [ god no fleas. ] ... Truthfully, I... spoke to Karlach about - well. I'm sure you can guess. [ murder! his emotions do something funny and wobbly - something sad, worried, grieving, and something sort of ... almost nauseous, buried underneath. ] It...
