[ she sure can't!! because that's the thing. rondo's not stupid, but he's not the smartest guy in the world. emotionally, however - he knows other people. and he knows, he knows how badly marina has to be hurting. whether he wanted to be held or not, it doesn't matter.
as she starts to clutch and sob he just kind of sinks against the wall, holding marina up so they don't both fall, even though it feels like his knees want to give out, too. ]

[ she lets them stay here, just for a little bit, wrapping her arms tightly around him and pressing her face into him as they allow themselves some times to cry, some grace for emotion. her fingers tighten a bit in his clothing, drawing him as close as she can.
but they're here. they're... they're some kind of alive, even if it's not quite right. ]

[ slowly, she kind of pushes back on her heels to help support him a little from where he's gone slack, stubborn. her head comes up underneath his chin and she lightly presses there with it, a warm tight hug shifting around him tightly. ]
I'll take you to my room. Clean up your face. We can sit a while...
