[ god he's so!!! WARUGH EVERYTHING IS BAD. marina can find rondo off by the pyre at some point - not close enough for erin to see, but standing, sword resting in the ground at the point, staring down at the blue flame. frustrating.
however, the second - the second he sees marina, he looks up, and immediately, his brows knit together as he makes his way over to her. ]
[ there he goes, he's walking to her. she's just here kind of dissociating as she walks, this is very normal for her. the most normal. she gazes at the fire for a few moments before finally managing more, leaning more toneless than not. ]
... Just wanted to thank you for all the help today. It was a hell of an ending, wasn't it?
[ ue ue - too late, he's already up. he looks her over, briefly, gaze flicking up and down to make sure she's okay... before he nods, and puts on a little smile. ]
To say the least... you did really well. I didn't even think about her glasses.
I'm... glad you're okay. [ at least he was able to step in and protect marina, if nothing else. ]
[ well since he's already up, she kind of hesitates, but... will just kind of close the space so that she can wrap her arms around his chest and hug him quite tightly. she's quite still as she does this, like it's almost a meditative stance as she stands there before she speaks, still very much attached. ]
Would have been hard if we hadn't applied just the right amount of pressure... so I owe you one. I wouldn't have been able to handle her alone once she kind of... flipped out.
[ oh... affection week real... he's a little surprised, but after a moment, he adjusts - easily, draping over her to return the hug. rondo gives such good hugs. he is warm, and solid, and just seems to naturally radiate his usual goodness and warm energy like this, so he listens to her when she talks and quietly basks in the affection, too, looking down to meet her eyes. ]
Oh... a couple scratches, but nothing too bad. [ he shrugs!! ] It's nothing I'm not used to. [ thankfully fighting monsters is what he's good at, so. ] After last week, I'm just glad I could help.
[ there's a little smile, and he gives her a little squeeze. ]
[ it is a very good hug, and she lingers in it for a moment, carefully letting her brain sort of wade through the strange knot of her emotions that she's not sure she can quite pick loose. so she attempts to keep surface calm instead even if her body language as she pulls away dictates that she's still quite alert. even after everything. ]
We did - If I had to do it again, I'd definitely want you by my side.
[ her expression shifts, a sad smile in return. ]
She just. Watching her transform... it's not unlike something that happened to me back home. That's happened to other people that I've known for a short period of time.
week 1, sat
