[ you could've said no and it would've been powerful of you.
anyway i set pcs here to force everyone to see room descriptions so!! the inside of rondo's room is a little more austere than you might initially expect. the ceiling seems to stretch up far overhead, and the walls are a white stone material, the floors marble. there's a big, fluffy blue rug on the floor, and a bookshelf filled with tomes stretches up to nearly the ceiling, with an armoire parked beside it, both in fine oak. a desk with papers scattered across it (already) sits to one corner, with a chair, and a small fireplace flickers with a fire that glows a soft, pretty blue - what should be eerie just gives off of vibes of warm and inviting, and candelight keeps the room lit even in the evening hours.
tall windows that stretch up, up towards the high ceiling are currently covered with a set of blue, velvety curtains, and a large, comfortable looking four poster bed sits off to another corner, with a fluffy blanket and lots of pillows. his sword has a place of honor on the wall, and a hook next to it is likely for his cloak, though at the moment it's conspicuously empty. finally, a small, painted picture that is almost certainly of sazantos (embarrassing? fanboy) and another of a cute girl with blonde hair cut into a bob are placed on one wall.
rondo himself is not in his uniform for once, so cloud can see the bruises around his neck are still pretty stark, but anything else is hidden by his clothes. he bows his head in greeting as he pushes back from his desk, and then offers him a smile. ]
Mm - I'm alright, yes. [ he's all good!! well. as good as you can be on a friday. ] Mr. Aventurine said that ours was relatively calm compared to what the majority of you all had been through...? No one was very seriously injured. And... today's events were a bit strange to watch, but... it feels different, watching it from this side.
That's good. [ he leans against the doorway and crosses his arms, looking over the room and rondo both. interesting. ] Think we've got enough injuries. [ as for the other thing, well. ] It doesn't get any less weird experiencing things from this side. When you're stuck just watching, it's... Frustrating.
[ ugh... yeah. his emotions ripple a little, dislike. ]
Mm. As so many things here are... [ like the executions. fucking executions. watching those sucked so bad. ] Today was especially difficult with Miss Kate.
[ considering!!! their kate! ] I'm glad that Vin and Miss Anis were alright, but... what a thorny situation to be left in, once again.
I think... now that I know, it's more obvious. But I didn't see the signs at all, before, and she and I were pretty close. Plus, the chimeras made things more confusing...
[ they couldn't ever just out their partners, making it entirely more complex for the remaining living to try and find the remaining person. it meant someone always got away, and it just got worse.

At least we know Famine will come to us. I just... I don't know how they're going to handle it, tomorrow.
Monsters threw things into a mess, and... no one wanted to see it. I don't blame 'em. She's the youngest one here.
[ that is not a dog, i guess. he's not frustrated about it himself, not the same way at least. ]
... They're going to have to kill her. Laudna implied they knew, in their letter, and they still didn't manage to stop her. They don't have a choice anymore. It's just a matter of when.
[ yeah. his emotions are complex, a tangle of sadness and understanding, all at once. it's so cruel, of this place, to choose kate of all people. it's cruel for anyone, but she's just so young. he thinks about her letter again. those were the moments that made me grateful to still be alive. ]
... I think... at this point, I think it's almost a mercy. [ his emotions show clearly he doesn't like that, that unhappy tangle growing stronger. ] Though it doesn't make any of it less cruel.
