Tomorrow, before the day is over... would you steal a book from the library? Any kind. Maybe one you might be interested in reading.

Before Marina... before Friday. She and I were talking about how - she used to really want to open a bookstore, if she ever escaped Prehevil. She said that they were her favorite place to escape to, and... we decided that we'd try to start a library in the village. Since next week, we'll end up somewhere else - so people could have something to escape into, if they wanted to, from all the things that happen here.
Now that she's gone, I... I want to build that library, still. I think it'd be nice.
[ he turns his head to give her a little smile when she does. it's tired - he is clearly exhausted, face still puffy, eyes red, but the smile is genuine. grateful, honest, and kind. ]
[ she musters all her emotional intelligence to not point out that the next one probably won't be better. or that the bad things from this week aren't reset.
well, she gets it. it feels like a way to mentally reset a little bit, with everything on a schedule. ]
Yeah. Me too. I just... wish we'd caught them both. And that we knew exactly what happened to Camille.
his shoulders sink, at that - the missing person, and camille, too. ]
...I do too. Last week, was the closest we've ever had to managing everything, and... we still didn't. [ ishtar's situation with the monsters, and... whoever that final chimera partner was. ] And this time... it feels like there are more questions, all over again.
Solving some of it is better than solving none of it. But that doesn't make the gaps of what we've missed any smaller. And once the evidence is gone, it's hard to follow up in our free time.
Robin...? Nothing in particular. I always have a hard time talking to her, so... [ so finding her evasive or vague or hard to comprehend is just kind of the standard, as far as ashlyn is concerned. ]
Everything that seemed weird had a decent enough explanation, and none of the evidence really seemed like it was pointing to her.

Probably more important to think about things that are more... current.

Heh. Maybe so.

Can I ask you a favor?

What is it?

What did you think about Miss Robin, at the end…?
