Mm. Books can actually be pretty hard to come by. There's really only one big library like this in Orsterra - otherwise, books come from merchants who happen to pass into towns here and there. A lot of people don't actually know how to read, either...

They are, to me. I like learning - and before I became a knight, I used to read stories about knighthood and chivalry all the time. Gallant adventurers, brave heroes... things like that. Plus, my sister loves them! So, once I was old enough, I would read to her at night before bed with our parents or Heathcote.
