It's different for Kelsier. You know, the reason most people started knowing who he is - there's a place where criminals are sent, where I'm from, called the pits of Hathsin. It was like a mine, and the only way to get the materials they needed was to put your arms into these small crevices in the earth located all over to try and pull pieces of it out, day in and day out. Nobody was permitted to leave - he's the only person who ever escaped. He still had the scars on his arms from it; it's how people recognized him.

He's the leader of a mafia family in Valore - so... organized crime? But, the families take care of all the people in the town. I've not ever been there myself, and I don't know him really well - we've only just started working together recently. But he's really level headed and smart, and his family reminds me a lot of the way that you describe your group.
He's got a similar sense of humor to you, too. And for him to be one of the guardians of light - he's a very, very good person. Though, I could tell that without the title, haha. He, King Richard, the Ringbearer Chosen [ (jan voice) don't ask ] and one other person accompanied me when I earned my Flame.
